Meet Laura
Collaboration | Equity | Justice

I envision healthy, transformational organizations that embody their values and missions both internally and externally. I partner with organizations to advance organizational equity and joy through developing their systems, practices, people, and finances. My work creates organization's rooted in their communities, and I help organization's build cultures of clear communication, vision, care, and creativity.

With over 15 years of experience working in the social sector, I have developed a keen ability to quickly assess the health of an organization and identify tactical next steps to help you implement your goals. I’ve worked in urban hubs and rural communities, domestically and internationally in community organizing, immigrant justice, environmental education, microfinance and public health. I have successfully led transformations in program and organization strategy, people and culture development, fundraising, succession planning, legal compliance and more. I thrive in managing both smooth and turbulent change.

Some examples of current/recent consulting projects include:

Guiding Principles
Collaboration

I assess, facilitate, design, and coach in collaboration with you and your team. Collaboration generates sustainable change.
Equity

I envision organizations and movements rooted in transparency and openness, that center voices who are systemically silenced.
Justice

I partner with organizations, teams, and individuals to tackle the issues we face in pursuit of a more just world.
Transformations happen over time and in phases. Accompanying organizations and people through their transformations brings me joy. Other things that bring me joy are watercolors and drawing, plants, investing time and effort in relationships, hummingbirds, being in the shrub-steppe foothills of Yakima and the surrounding mountains, learning about plants, running, hiking, wandering, learning, and developing a sense of place.

I am grateful to reside on the ancestral and current lands of the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation, which includes Klikitat, Palus, Wallawalla, Wanapam, Wenatchi, Wishram, and Yakama peoples.
